Page views, referrer, language and screen size; where on a page clicks land, for a click map; clicks on links to other sites and on file downloads, which is how the download button is counted; and whether a visit lasted longer than 15 seconds. Session recording is switched off. Main cookies: _ym_uid and _ym_d; Metrica also sets short-lived service cookies.

Google Analytics

Page views, referrer, language and screen size, in aggregate, to see which pages and which languages people actually read. According to Google, Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Cookies: _ga and _ga_787RGPJ93F.

The website itself

One entry in the browser's local storage, conchshell-cookie-notice, which only remembers that the notice about counters was dismissed. It is not a cookie and is not sent anywhere.

Until you clear it

What is not collected

No advertising pixels, no cross-site profiles, no data sold to anyone. Your servers, logins, passwords, keys and session contents never reach this website. The application does contact conchshell.app, but only for a few things: checking for updates on the desktop and downloading the ones you choose to install, fetching the list of changes after an update, fetching the list of revoked licences on a copy with a licence key, and exchanging a short licence code for a key. Its usage statistics go to t.conchshell.app and can be switched off in its settings. What each request carries is listed in the Privacy Policy.

How to stop them

BROWSER SETTINGS

Block cookies for this site, or use private browsing. Nothing on the site depends on them, so blocking costs you nothing.

A TRACKER BLOCKER

Any of the usual extensions stops both counters. We do not try to work around them.

SKIP THE SITE

The download URLs are plain files. Fetch one with curl and no page loads, no script runs and no cookie is set.

Questions about this website, about what it collects, or about anything on these pages — that address is the whole of it. The formal documents are the User Agreement and the Privacy Policy; both are governed by the law of the Russian Federation.
